Description of Project:

The project was a turnkey project aimed at improving the road network and traffic flow on the western side of Kuala Lumpur. The scope of the works included the widening of 3 existing major routes, construction of new elevated highway, reconstruction and rationalisation of existing intersections, and construction of 10 interchanges, retaining walls, twin road tunnels and toll plazas as well as drainage works and utilities relocation.

Zaidun Leeng Sdn Bhd was engaged as the main consultant by the turnkey contractor. SMEC was engaged as a subcontractor to the main to consultant to provide drainage design review and design services.

Services Provided:

  • Reproduction of existing design drawings to MOSS format
  • Drainage assessment and design for highway upgrading works (4 to 6 lane) and construction of new elevated 6-lane highway link, totalling 10km and including 4 grade separated interchanges
