Rehabilitation and Upgrading of existing NH 45 road from Tambaram to Tindivanum (km28 to km121) (December 2001 - June 2005)
Client:UE Development India Pvt Ltd Description of Project:National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) as part of India's National Program decided to upgrade the existing road network to four lanes with a central median. An additional of 2 lanes were added to the existing two lanes and in sections where the existing road is already four lanes, strengthening overlay work was done. NHAI awarded the project to GMR Tambaram-Tindivanam Expressways Pvt. Ltd. which in turn appointed UE Development India Pvt. Ltd as the EPC contractor. Services Provided:SMEC Malaysia was engaged by the EPC Contractor to carry out a review of the Design Project Report used to bid for the project and to come up with detailed engineering design and construction drawings for approval and construction.
