Description of Project:

The proposed project is a mini hydro scheme with a potential capacity of up to 6MW. The water will be conveyed through a 3.6km headrace pipeline and a 400m penstock to the power station sited on the left bank of Sg. Wariu with effective head of 175m. The transmission line will be a 33kV aerial cable using the existing poles to Kota Belud sub station.

Hydrological analysis and desktop study of the proposed project. The study is based on the hydrological analysis the following were determined: type of scheme to be developed-storage or run of the river, estimates energy generation and estimate project cost.
